About Me
I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago where I spent my years reading and writing, being a curator of music, and playing tennis. I played on my school's tennis team for three years and I think it was there that I learned how to take notice of an individual's strengths, and furthermore got to see how all of those individual strengths came together to form the team that I adored. I still love tennis and I play it recreationally whenever I can and the weather allows. My love for writing got me into the newspaper club where I learned a different way to tell stories. Whether I was writing fiction for fun or writing an article, I learned the ins and outs of a story and how to consider the person reading it. It is because of this that I am always careful to consider the user story behind a product and/or service and how that effects the user journey, and therefore, effects my design.
Once I learned about the inner workings of technology, and how coding was like this puzzle that I had some creative freedom over, I knew I belonged in the tech space. It still took me a minute to find my actual career path, which I didn't discover until college. Through my internship at my school's nonprofit program, I found the career of UX design and it clicked with me. I clicked with it. And now I'm trying to continue doing this work I love.
